BAG of LOVE 2012
It is that time of year again and we are getting ready to serve Okinawa's finest, the Special Needs Community with a Bag of LOVE.
This will be the 6th year of serving this elite group of children and adults with LOVE. Either a Box of LOVE or a Bag of LOVE. Either way, we have enjoyed building a relationship with this community of SPECIAL folks for many years. www.boxofloveokinawa.blogspot.com to see how this ministry has grown over the past few years, from crowding our doorway with boxes and delivering all over the island to the Koza Christmas Festival.
We need your help. We will be collecting Bags of LOVE from Sunday November 25th through Sunday December 9th. Place your Bag of LOVE under the Bag of LOVE Christmas Tree at Koza Baptist Church.
We need your help at the Koza Christmas Festival on Saturday December 15th from 1:30 - 5:00. The event is from 2:30 to 4:30, but we are asking you to arrive early and stay a bit afterwards to set up and break down the event.
We need your help to be a hugger to these kids and to be their guide through the Festival events.
We need your help to operate a game booth such as: Bean Bag Toss, Duck Pond, Wall of Jericho, Face Painting, Put Put Golf and Go Fishing.
We need your help to translate for our friends in order to help us have full communication with them.
If you have any questions please contact us at smithwer@yahoo.com or

Just another way to serve the "Least of These" this Christmas Season.

New Name
We have decided to change the name of "BOX of LOVE" to "BAG of LOVE". Since last year we had a difficult time finding boxes to hold all the great things folks wanted to give to the children of Okinawa, we resorted to BAGS. It actually worked out better. So in celebration of our 5th year serving Okinawa's Handicapped Children, we are now "BAG of LOVE".
We have been invited back to URASOE City Christmas Party for their Handicapped Children on Saturday Dec 10 @ 2:30. Make plans to come out and help us and Toys 4 Tots distribute nearly 300 toys to some very special children and sing a Christmas Carols and spread the gospel as a bonus.
To view the past 4 years of the "Box of Love" ministry go to www.boxofloveokinawa.blogspot.com
We will begin collecting bags from folks beginning Saturday Dec 3 and will continue through Sunday Dec 11.
The Christmas Festival will be on SUNDAY December 17 from 2 -4pm at Koza Baptist Church. Make plans to come and be a hugger, operate a game room, paint faces or use your Japanese skills and translate for us. We will be serving 100+ children from the handicap community around us. This will be a celebration for them to be in God's house, hear and see the gospel up close and personal.
STOP by the Ai no Kesshin tree in the foyer and get your checklist of supplies needed to fill your "BAG OF LOVE" for a special child this Christmas.
